Education Foundation
The West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation (WYSEF) is a non-profit foundation established in 1996 to promote cross country skiing in all its forms through education, facility development and participation.
The primary goal of the WYSEF is to bring children and adults of the community together through cross country skiing, a lifetime learning activity which promotes physical fitness and appreciation of our natural environment. WYSEF pursues this goal by organizing weekly skiing events each weekend in January, February and March. In addition WYSEF sponsors monthly Spam Cups - a series of citizen’s races held monthly on the Rendezvous Ski Trails. To view our Schedule of Events page, click on the button at the left side of this page. Remember, all of these events are intended to provide a fun and enjoyable experience. Everyone is welcome!
The WYSEF is also oriented towards community development through the initiation of programs and facilities which will benefit residents of the community and entice visitors to return to West Yellowstone. Most recently, WYSEF spearheaded the effort to construct the Rendezvous Ski Trailhead Facility. The project was funded jointly through a $20,000 USFS Rural Community Assistance grant, a $30,000 contribution from the Town of West Yellowstone and a $22,500 contribution from the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce. WYSEF members and citizens of West Yellowstone contributed an additional $35,000 to complete the building. The final product is a beautiful building that includes a large indoor meeting area, a changing room, a covered outdoor ski waxing area and two bathrooms.

community through cross-country skiing (Membership Form). Your support of WYSEF is appreciated
through your membership, tax deductible contributions and participation. WYSEF
members receive regular newsletters and a schedule of events. Individual
memberships start at $20.00.
