The Biathlon Range
The Rendezvous Ski Trails are home to one of the largest Biathlon training sites in the U.S., second only to the Soldier Hollow 2002 Olympic Venue in the Western U.S. With a maximum size of 24 shooting lanes, the range has hosted National Championships, North American Cup events, and Olympic Team Trials. It is open for individual and team use throughout the year by contacting the Program Director for West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation at the email address listed at the bottom of the page.

Firearms, hosts several biathlon events each year. This year, the Summer
Biathlon will be held on July 12, 2008. The West
Yellowstone Summer Biathlon is open
to all participants. First time participants in Summer Biathlon are
welcome and encouraged to participate in the Sport Class. A free safety and
familiarization clinic will be offered and is required for all first time
participants. Rifles and ammunition will be available for those without their
own equipment. Match Class Participants must have their own equipment and must
have raced in at least one Match Class event in the last 3 years. The following
races are scheduled: Men’s race - 6km, PPSS; Women’s race: 5km, PPSS.
